You also have to schedule to buying of your school's new Macs for the year around it to get the most bang for your buck. The ideal times for this type of event would be early in the school year (maybe even in the summer before school starts), and again around the holidays.
For every Mac that a parent/student buys, the school gets $50 off of a Mac purchase. I think the parents/students also get $50 off but I'm not quite sure.
All in all it's not a bad idea. It's just too bad that they can't do this every night and just keep records on the individual schools to keep track (so every night would be a good night to buy a new computer).
