AppleInsider tries to hit nail on head, hits own head by mistake
Uh. Um. Errrrr.
This was posted today by, umm, us.
iMac Revision Due This Week
Snippet:
All models will be powered by an 867MHz PowerPC G4 processor, with the exception of the high-end (?Best?) configuration, which will sport a 1Ghz PowerPC G4 Processor. The 15? model will include a CD-RW drive, the lower-end 17? configurations will sport Apple?s Combo drive, and the two high-end models will boast an Apple?s Super Drive 2X.
According to sources, all configurations will include built in support for Apple?s Airport Extreme wireless internet technology, as well as Bluetooth wireless peripheral technology. However, sources claim that none of the configurations will include and Airport or Bluetooth card as standard.
I'd comment, but I'm sort of speechless. Again, this was posted today. Ummm... yeah...

Some of the other rumor sites picked up on it too. Again- this was posted before the announcement.
Actually, that was posted last night.

But it's got today's date so it looks like it's from today.
It was posted 'today' but that just means it was posted after midnight. But it was also posted before the new iMacs/eMacs announcement.
But yes, the information is wrong so I guess it's bad regardless of when it was posted.
I know it's not 'us' Jon, but it is AppleInsider. Looks reeeeaaalll good on us.
heh heh
So what, it was posted like 6 or 7 hours before the announcement? Why bother.

I guess at the time it was posted, they didn't know the announcement would be made 6 or 7 hours later.
Come back Mrs Murbot, all is forgiven...
Quite possibly the most WRONG prediction/early-warning I've ever seen from a rumor site. More off-the-mark than MOSR, I'm afraid.
Personally, I don't believe ANY rumor site has "sources", inside or otherwise. I think every one of them sit back and make stuff up and post it.
Think Secret has the best track record of late, for sure.
The rest?
Ugh...

Too bad, since the rest of the Mac using world did. Buh-roo-taaalll.
