Unstable Charge

I have iPad 3rd gen.
Recently after charging it 100% when I unplug it and use for a while it shutdown by itself.
When I try to turn it on it show's that the battery does not have any charge.

Can anyone tell me is it totally battery issue?

    You can check your battery health with an app. Two options are:

    It sounds like the battery is bad. The iPad battery will be over 5 years old so if it has been charged regularly, it's likely due for a replacement. The cycle count (number of charges) affects the battery lifespan. If it's charged infrequently, the battery can last longer but after 500 cycles (every day for 2 years or every other day for 4 years), problems will start to show up.

    If you decide to get the battery replaced, Apple lists the price as $99 ( https://support.apple.com/ipad/repair/battery-power ). Keep in mind that you can get a much newer iPad on eBay for around $200 and you can sell your one for spares.

    You are right my battery is dead and I should replace it.
    But as in market there are more better option I am thinking to buy new model or version.
