[Petition] MacBook Pro 2016 and later LCD backlight issue - Apple's Extended Warranty Program

Hello everyone!

More and more people are facing with stage light effect (appears at the bottom of the screen when you set at a high brightness level) and backlight shutdown (comes after opening the lid for above at a certain degree). Both of them caused by fractured display flex cable due to its design flaw.

I’ve just published a petition on change.org (https://www.change.org/p/apple-fix-all-new-macbook-pro-2016-or-later-with-stage-light-effect-or-backlight-shutdown) and created website called Flexgate (https://flexgate.me) related this issue where you can discover more info.

My laptop is affected too, so this is the reason why I am doing this all. I want to make Apple launch extended warranty program regarding this issue and I need your help guys.

    I started facing the same problem since yesterday. I contacted apple support and after 1 hr and escalation, they just can't help. 

    I rather pay legal fees for Apple lawsuit rather pay for display replacement.

    I bought the macbook pro 2016 at 2016/11
    I have replaced the keyboard twice at 2017/5
    I have the same screen backlight issues at 2018/12.

    I have the same problem. Display backlight turns off as I adjust the screen angle.

    Yes, there are so many problems on Macbook Pro 2016, my colleague replaced the SSD and keyboard too.

    Sorry to bumping this old post up,

    is there any reclaim method of an Apple old product?

    I just recently bought an Apple Macbook pro for my little brother, So he can Play games.

    But unfortunately Macbook Pro has a small black dot in the right corner on the screen which is not seeing before purchasing.
