A software question: does the version of Documents to Go that comes with Cliés work with a Mac. If not, is there a free/cheep upgrade available from DataViz?

    All the software on the sony cd is pc only, cuz it doesnt support macs out of the box. Data Viz looks to have a mac version, but it says OS 9.1 or higher, I dunno if that includes X. This will give you some info about upgrading <a href="http://www.dataviz.com/products/documentstogo/dxtg_hhbundle.html"; target="_blank">http://www.dataviz.com/products/documentstogo/dxtg_hhbundle.html</a>;

Anyone know if you can use entourage as a conduit, i would love to be able to sync my info into there.

FYI it seems that if you have a clie that doesn't have an mp3 player you will probably be able to sync it to a mac with just palm desktop for mac.

Hey are you the same fireants22 thats on clie source?

ti:> i downloaded Doc 2 go and yes, the newest version does work for 10.2.4...however- its crap. Doc2Go in general is crap for viewing pdfs. Like WTF?! They don't load images? Only the text shows. Good thing I only downloaded the demo, cuz this is totally useless for me when I am trying to approve an Ad-layout via pdf...what good is an poster if i can't see the image?

I am much happier now with my free Adobe pdf-reader for palm/clie.

yea as evildead, although I haven't been going there as much.

Thats weird, I'm guessing though most people just use it for word stuff. I did hear that that adobe reader is good though. Thats kinda cool that you use it for real work, do you use it at a reg full time job, or do you freelance and take it to your meetings with clients?

sometimes i am out of the office at a photo shoot or on location, and I really need to approve a layout...long story short- for real work, in real situations.

IM a advertising/graphic designer in japan. (tho the camera function is wasted mostly on taking pics of cute girls on the train)

Yes, I have Docs to Go on my computer and I use it with my clie

You can download a trial version from DataViz and depending on how orthodox you are, you can get it for either the full price or nothing.

    Ok guys,

There seems to be a confusion on whether Palm Desktop can work with the Cliés.

Maybe its because I have a different Clié than you guys?

I swear to god, I sync with Palm Desktop to my Clié.

To the guy who couldn't: Are you using the latest version of Palm Desktop?(An earlier version did not work with my clie either)

    Are you using OSX?

It seems to work flawlessly with my iBook.

    Dunno, try it again?

The confusion is because: it depends on the model of Clie.

Some sync just fine with Palm Desktop alone. Others won't sync at all without The Missing Sync.

And, of course, you need TMS if you want to mount your Memory Stick on the desktop, and sync iTunes with an MP3 enabled model.
