Compatible DVD writers

Can anyone tell me, where I can find a list of internal DVD writers that are compatible with the mac?



I know that a list of CD-RW drives exists for iTunes etc, I was wondering if there was also a list of alternative "SuperDrives".

    I don't know of a list as such, but the drive compatability database at XLR8YourMac.Com has reports of SuperDrives that have successfully been installed in Macs.

    Just select DVD-R DVD Recorder or DVD+R/RW + DVD-R/RW Drives for the drive type and press the Search button. Although Apple seems to be moving towards the dual format DVD+R/RW, DVD-R/RW drives, the Pioneer DVR-105 still seems popular. I popped one in my PowerMac a while ago and its worked flawlessly.
