Port mapping to a private IP

Here's the deal...

my router's IP is: 67.94.174.55

The only Mac that's on it is using the IP: 192.168.2.28.

I've mapped port 20 on the router to that IP, so that I (and anyone) can have remote FTP access to the Mac. However, it's not working.

Am I missing something, or am I not doing something right!?

"Access to the port number given has been disabled for security reasons."

Did you tell your ftp server to use port 20 (standard is 21)? You could also check the docs for your router.

Chances are, when an ftp program tries to log in, it's going to the standard port and that port (21) is blocked by your router.

FTP is both port 20 and 21. 21 is for FTP commands, and 20 is for FTP DATA. Make sure you have both mapped to the same IP.
