Power users in the market for a new Thunderbolt 3 dock with the maximum possible power supplied to the host device may want to look at Plugable's latest release -- a 10-port dock with increased charging power.

Plugable launches new TBT3-UDC3 dock with 100W of power, perfect for pro users


The TBT3-UDC3 is an upgraded version of Plugable's previous TBT3-UDC1, designed with creatives in mind.

Unlike many docks on the market, this dock offers 100W of power delivery via a Thunderbolt 3 port, perfect for charging the i9 16-inch MacBook Pro in under two hours.

Those needing more desktop space can take advantage of the dual HDMI and Display ports, allowing users to connect dual 4K 60Hz displays. Plugable notes that users with M1 Macs will only be able to connect one additional display.




The TBT3-UDC3 includes two USB-C 10Gb ports, as well as three USB-A ports for legacy devices, dongles, and flash drives. It also has a gigabit ethernet port and a 3.5mm audio in/out port.

    1 GbE has to stop.
    2.5 GbE would cost the manufacturer only $2 to $3 more.

    Am I alone when it comes to usb-C adoption? What’s up with all them USB-A ports? The only time i use A ports is when using Hubs, because they typically just have one C port, which is super annoying. Would appreciate a TB3 dock with lots of C ports and no A ports.

    Following the Amazon link, I see a $299 price, not $219 as anounced in the article  (As of 12/15 9:20pm CST)

    Typo?... or did I miss the boat on a good deal?

    The $20 coupon is there though. 

    I was going to buy, but now I wonder...
    Can anybody clarify what happened? Thanks!
