A documentary from Britain's Prince Harry intended for release on Apple TV+ in 2020 is now expected in the spring of 2021, a delay caused through a move to the United States, ceasing official Royal Family duties, and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Originally announced in April 2019, the Duke of Sussex Prince Harry is working on a series for Apple TV+ about mental health. While the show was originally anticipated to air in 2020, sources claim a number of factors have caused the project to stall.

Royal insiders told the UK's Sun there were multiple elements impacting the production of the show, including the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic. A decision by Harry and wife Meghan to cease performing official duties for the Royal Family in March 2020 followed by a move to the United States has also played a part in delaying the project.

The major events have caused changes in filming for the show, though it is unclear how much of an impact the delays actually had on production. An insider explained the news of the postponed production was kept secret as "delays never look good."

While there is no official release date for the program, it is thought that it will be available to watch sometime this spring, delays pending.

The untitled series is a continuation of the Duke's years of campaigning about mental illness, encouraging discussion about the subject. The show would be about mental health worldwide, rather than featuring just the UK.

"Our hope is that this series will be positive, enlightening and inclusive - sharing global stories of unparalleled human spirit fighting back from the darkest places, and the opportunity for us to understand ourselves and those around us better," said Harry in 2019. "I am incredibly proud to be working alongside Oprah on this vital series."

I’m hoping the increased attention brought to the inadequacies of mental healthcare in the us exposed by COVID-19, as well as ongoing public education campaigns such as this finally provide some momentum for change.  Like everything, it seems, access to mental health resources are radically unequal depending upon wealth, race, gender and culture.  This should be one of the many avenues of change in progressive politics.

Why do you keep referring to these people as “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex” and “Prince Harry” etc., didn’t they abandon their royal titles and obligations?

Regardless of what they do or don't do for the Royal family, they still have their titles.  He will always be (to be very proper about it) HRH The Prince Henry, Duke of Sussex.   She will always be HRH, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.   The only way they become Mr and Mrs Harry Mountbatten-Windsor is if the Queen (or her successor) signs an order (Letters Patent) removing those titles from them.  That does not seem likely to happen.

I wonder if it will be about tools and titled sellout?

The only Dukes that matter are from Hazzard County.

Who cares????  Why do the US Media put these two up on a pedestal.  They will be divorced by the year’s end.  Mark my words.

It only seems to be the media that really gives a sh¡t about these two, its constantly forced down our necks here (and by the seem of it, in the US too). Few on the UK side of the pond at least could care less, mainly because of Meghan. People here used to very much like Harry, but since his entire personality and direction changed when Meghan begun dictating his life, people have lost interest. He generally seemed to enjoy being a Royal, but that all changed when Meghan came on the scene. People seem to dislike Meghan a lot, the feeling is she stole Harry from the Royal Family, and the couple's actions toward the Queen didn't go down well. Seeing Meghan strutting around with her false glued on smile next to Harry's newfound and now default dejected expression makes people quite sad.

There are quite a lot of hypocritical messages and actions from the pair, complaining about the media and paparazzi being akin to psychological torture whilst going to high profile media events then claiming to be seeking a private life.

So anyway that's likely the entire dull documentary summed up for you.

And yet you felt to take the time to summarize your entire knowledge of the subject to tell us you don’t care.  Apparently it’s really important to you that people know you don’t care.  If you don’t mind me asking, how’s that working out for you?
