I've been using Apple maps almost exclusively. It works well without turning me into a 'product' for the data miners to buy.

The one missing thing I'd like to see in Apple Maps is an ability to download maps for offline use. There are places I occasionally go to that don't have cell coverage, which can turn Apple maps into a blue dot on a generic grid. There's an app called "Magic Earth" that I currently use to fill the gap, and it does work reasonably well. It also has this rare statement under App Privacy in its App Store listing: "Data Not Collected; The developer does not collect any data from this app." Magic Earth works in Car Play, too, so I definitely recommend it. I just wish that capability was available in Apple Maps, since that's my default map program.
