The live internet radio stations on Apple Music are filled with all kinds of musicians and celebrities hosting shows on a rotating schedule. The next guest host is bringing royalty to the roster.

Apple shared that King Charles III will be on Apple Music 1 for a special even show called The King's Music Room for March 10, Commonwealth Day. He will be sharing stories about music and playing selections across genres like Afrobeats, disco, reggae, and 1930s ballads.

"Throughout my life, music has meant a great deal to me. I know that is also the case for so many others," King Charles III shared. "It has that remarkable ability to bring happy memories flooding back from the deepest recesses of our memory, to comfort us in times of sadness, and to take us to distant places."

"But perhaps, above all, it can lift our spirits to such a degree, and all the more so when it brings us together in celebration," he continued. "In other words, it brings us joy."

Expect music from Bob Marley, Kylie Minogue, RAYE, Davido, and Grace Jones. The show will be replayed multiple times on Apple Music 1 and Apple Music Hits through Monday and Tuesday, and it will also be available on demand.

Catch the live premiere on Monday, March 10 at 6 a.m. on Apple Music 1. The live radio channels are all free in the Apple Music app, no subscription required.

I actually had to look at the date on the upper right corner of my iMac to see if it was April 1st.

Commonwealth Day is being celebrated for the first time in forever just as the well... Commonwealth country is threatened with invasion by a neighbour.

Is that a low-key bit of old Apple / Beats rebellious sprite showing?

Expect music from Bob Marley, Kylie Minogue, RAYE, Davido, and Grace Jones.

Wow, I never expected that my taste in music would be more conservative than King Charles's.

I would be pleased to someday meet the King and make chit-chat over the genius of Bob Marley and the effortlessly cool artistry of Grace Jones.
