The iOS 18.3.2 update appears to have introduced a bug related to Apple's Mail application, as multiple users now claim that emails only appear in their inbox after a manual refresh.

The iOS 18.3.2 update appears to have caused issues with the Mail app for some users.

Apple released iOS 18.3.2, a relatively minor update, on March 11, 2025. Though the software contains a significant security fix, it appears the update has also introduced a problem that affects the built-in Mail app and its push functionality, which is meant to display new emails as soon as they arrive.

As was noted by MacRumors, multiple Reddit users have said that new emails are no longer being pushed to their phones. Instead, users are only shown new emails if they manually open the Mail app and refresh their inbox. Some users are experiencing issues receiving emails altogether, indicating that this could be the result of a small-scale outage.

Though more than a dozen users appear to have been impacted, it might not be a widespread issue. AppleInsider staff members have not experienced any problems with the Mail application on iOS 18.3.2 or with the latest iOS 18.4 developer beta, released on Monday.

Assuming the issue wasn't caused by a short-term outage, Apple will likely address the Mail-related problem with a future software update. The iPhone maker periodically releases new versions of iOS, which often include bug fixes and security enhancements.

Seen here on iPhone: forwarded a message to my wife (who was sitting across the table from me) so we could both look at an attachment at the same time. Long wait for the (push) message to appear then refreshed manually more than once before it arrived.

One occurrence isn't conclusive (lots of things could have contributed to the delay) but interested to see that others have had it too.

I’ve been seeing issues with Mail on the last two updates on my Mac. I delete an email on my iPhone and it won’t delete it on my Mac until I delete it. It doesn’t delete it when checking mail like it used to.

Now on both iPhone and iPad. So not something that happens straight away.

    A pretty huge bug.

This suddenly started happening today on my 16 pro, a few days after updating - all of a sudden I’m receiving no Mail until I go into the app and it then refreshes.

    Annoying!
