In March, Apple held an Apple student experience, nicknamed "Apple University," for student influencers. The one-day, invite-only event was designed to help students better grasp how Apple's products can help with both school and content creation.

One student, Heaven Marley, was chosen to participate. She caught up with People after the event.

"I got the email and thought it was spam at first," she told People. "Then we scheduled a meeting and got to talking about how Apple and their ecosystem have made me into the student and content creator I am today."

The event is structured just like a school day. Students participate in classes that focus on workflow optimization and new skills.

Before arriving, students received a brand new MacBook Air. Heaven shows hers off in a video posted to TikTok in late March.

One class, "Get Your MacBook Ready with Me," helped students customize their new devices. The class was taught by Apple-centric influencer Julia K. Crist, known for her tech-focused YouTube channel.

Other classes included learning new skills related to Final Cut Pro, one pertaining to Apple's whiteboard app, Freeform, and a class on brand marketing. They also got to take a break at the Apple Cafe.

Heaven noted how warm and inviting the staff was, and how much she enjoyed meeting up with other student content creators. She also encouraged other students who get invited to future -- or similar -- events to not skip out on the chance.

She also says that while content creation can be difficult to juggle, especially with her job, classes, and side-hustles. However, she still thinks it's worth it and advises other aspiring content creators.

"Make time for your dreams... Sometimes there would be times I have to sacrifice sleep, hangouts, and my time, but I can 100% say it was worth it."

Dearie me…I thought things like gender diversity were important but clearly not. That’s certainly a very “select group”.

Not only is Apple (Tim Cook) excluding males, but what about students older than about 22? What a load of cr*p.

I have to agree with the above postings, that was the first thing that I noticed. I would think that race plays a role in diversity also.... Just sayin Tim
