North Korean Drug Ship
You might have missed it, but in our little backwater the North Korean government has been implicated over the seizure of illicit drugs. If this is true, North Korea, not only owns the ship, but had a political officer on board overseeing operations..
" The Pong Su freighter was captured by special forces & federal troops after attempting to unload heroin worth $80..million dollars off the coast of Lorne, Victoria in Southern Australian waters. A three day chase ended when shells were fired across the bow of the Pong Su as it attempted to flee into international waters"

said Minister for Foreign affairs Mr Downer.
Mr Downer warned North Korea, that Australia would react with outrage if proof emarged that Pyongyang was behind the plot to smuggle heroin into the country"
US Secretary of State Colin Powell seized on the arrests as proof of North Korea's international drug smuggling program...
30 crewmen & the captain are being held under guard to face trail later in the month.

North Korea hardly engages in any legal international trade, and their economy is in a terrible shape. Its not surprising to see that thier income is financed by drugs and weapons.
Its a pity that the people of North Korea are misled and controlled by some greedy communists. Their life can only be improved by undergoing a regime change.

I think Scott is poking a stick around to see if he can stir up a hornet's nest.....
The other thing I forgot to point out, was that at the point of drop off for the drugs there seems to have been some sort of altercation / execution as one of the members of the Pong Su's crew was found floating off the coastline of Lorne....& if it wasn't for this body being spotted, they might have managed to get away without being detected....But the AUS navy & costal surveillance system was then asked to check their radar / computer records of shipping activity in the area..and thats how thay got caught in the end....a bit of quick thinking & some dumb luck...

Yes, but first they should have had 11 years of drug inspections headed by a man who was the twenty second choice for the job.
Of course! That's the proper way to go about these things...we all know that.
I'd see to it that they get a fair " kangaroo court " trial then shootem.....
Alternatively, we've got some pretty hungry Sharks down along the coast a bit...they can always try swimming for it.....
