So I got an internal CD-RW, and I was thinking to myself, Mac OS X, it's so cool, it'll handle this without so much as a restart. So I got the drive working, but I can't burn disks. Here's what I purchaced.

Is it a hopless case, or can I get this thing burning?

Always check the compatibility database at http://www.xlr8yourmac.com before you buy a CD-RW drive! A drive ought to burn from Toast, iTunes and the Finder (on 9 and X) and very importantly be bootable.
