Actually, I do use most of those apps. I just don't use them all at the same time.
It's kinda hard to play a dozen full-screen games while you're editing graphics and video and audio and modeling and rendering 3d while writing and checking and debugging code in c and java and xhtml and css while repairing your disk while sharing files and communicating across multiple networks while...
And the list of things I do with my apps goes on...
I'm just exemplifying what it looks like some of you guys with 40 or 50 or 60 or more apps are doing: showing off. It's pretty hard to use the dock once it has that much on it, don't you think?

It?s unbearable. It?s a headache.
I hate clutter.
More accurately I love organization. I used to organize my dock with separators, but that wasn?t good enough. That?s why I switched to folders & no non-running apps. That way the only apps in my dock are the ones that I?m using.
Another headache (or something that under the right circumstances may induce epileptic seizures) is a small dock with BIG magnification. I can?t see how any self respecting multi-tasker can use one. No offense intended to any of you that do.
Whatever floats your boat man.
That brings up the question: How many of you guys out there with 50-60 things in your dock, would consider yourselves to be multi-taskers?
A cookie to anyone who counts the number of unique apps in my dock.
I'll give you a hint. It's well over 250.
267?

Hell yes. Macromedia's icons suck. Yours don't. I rarely change the icons on my apps (OmniWeb is the only other example of this, I hate the current icon.)

19 permanent icons. Ten bucks says that no one here can guess what the one to the right of Safari is (it's the original app icon.)

Yeah, but how many do you actually use? Looks to me that you?re only using around ten.
I say the winner is the one with the most open apps in his dock.
Can someone say Versiontracker!
BUWAHAHAHA!
