iMac now?

Would anyone buy an iMac for personal use right now? Or do yesterday's developments suggest a wait and see attitude?

    Hmm? they never made a G4 iMac CRT, so I'm wondering if they'll make a G5 iMac FPD. Maybe if it goes all-aluminum (alloy), like the rest of their hardware. We'll see.

    It's gonna be a long wait until this trickles down to consumer gear. January '04 would be (to me) shockingly early to see a G5 iMac. If you need an iMac, buy an iMac.



    Edit: But if you were thinking about dropping 1800+ on an iMac, I'd wait for the low-end G5 box. And save your pennies for the next two months.

    Just bought an iMac Flat Panel a month ago... I like the design. I just need to get the kink out of my neck from leaning (a little).
