Over $4000 US worth of hardware for $2000. Looks legit to me!

actually more then that because you can't even buy it yet...

The seller lives in a town (Webster) right outside of Rochester, however this individual appears to have registered his under construction site under a Washington State address. Interesting... Since I don't have an eBay account (and don't plan on ever having one) what other information is given in the Seller Information section?

    This:

PAYMENT: only wire transfer in advance.

Should tell you something right there

If I wire transfer funds to someone, I better have the machine THE VERY NEXT DAY BEFORE 10:30AM! Some how I doubt this would be the case with this auction.

Eh, it depends. I've had several people transfer funds into my account before, and I ship the computer out in a day or two. (never the only method I accept though) It's all about feedback and prior eBay activity.

However, when you see a product on eBay that isn't even shipping, and for HALF PRICE, something may be wrong.

Well if you look at his feedback, on May 8th he bought a 6 piece Gorilla suite on e-bay.

Hmmm, Not exactly sure what that means.

Wasn't it in this forum that had that chap who had his lap top stolen and managed to get the chap arrested, after selling it to a conman on ebay, or did he spend his college money on one?.

It then made the press all around the world.

    RE: Item #2741499662

As you can see, I am emailing this guy now. He is interesting to say the least. Email him and ask him what the deal is! A brand new G5 dual 2.0 GHz for $2000? WTF? Lets corner this guy and save the day!

    mailto:[email protected]

    -------------------------------------

Q: How can you be clearing stock on a computer that won't even ship for

30-60 days? It won't even be in stores to LOOK at until Aug or Sept.

Most people at Apple haven't even seen the G5 in person.

A: We have already in stoch clearing sale 4 items

    --------------------------------------

Q: Is this right? The single 1.6 GHz entry model is $1999, so how can you

    have the high-end $3,000 model for $2000?

A: We have stock clearing sale.

You can be the customer of my item only if you agree our terms.

You can BUY RIGHT NOW without using BUY IT NOW option.

The item is Brand New under USA warranty.

We will ship the merchandise usually via UPS but optional you could chose

another shipment method like FEDEX or DHL. In this time all our items are

already stored at warenhouse near UPS ready for delivery after the payment

    is completed.

Payment must be done in advanced by:

    1. Bank wire transfer from your bank account to our bank account on USA.

    2. Wire transfer through Western Union. Not bid-pay.

About payment fees i will suport all western union or wire fees and you will

deduct it from the total amount you have to pay. You will send the remaining

amount + $25 UPS shipping fess.

We will send you the item via UPS and I'll email you the UPS tracking number

after we will receive the payment.

I'll wait for your shipping address and your receiver name.

Thank you very much and I look forward to doing business with you,

Con artists, both international and national alike, make me appreciate the (albeit small) percentage of people out in this world that have brains capable of sentient thought. Stupid is as stupid does. I hope he doesn't actually catch someone.

    Hi,

I just viewed your auction and was wanting to ask a few questions.

    1. How can you sell it so low?

    2. Since this computer isn't even shipping from Apple, when could I expect

    to get one from you?

    Thanks

I hope he does. If ANYONE falls for this... maybe it's a good thing they won't be in charge of $2000 anymore!
