I just got a powerbook 12" for school. I was wondering about a monitor, now the flat screen mac ones are nice but a little out of my price range. What else could i get to use that is good qual. You guys know if it will get better rez then what the book can get or will it be the same?

    check out Formac's LCD line. really nice apple style but cheaper and more options

    I would suggest a Formac. http://www.formac.com There is no feasible or good way to connect a 12" Powerbook as it has only a VGA connector.

    they dont seem to be much cheaper. can i connect this to any monitor, or only a few types.

    There are tons of good 17" TFTs out there that has 1280x1024 and that is a lot more than the 1024x768 on your 12". The Samsung 171s and 171T are very nice, and they all have VGA

    I bought a Vison monitor (yes its Vison, not vision...it even says so on their website haha), and it is very nice...1280x768, although it supports higher resolutions I think. It is $360, though I got a $50 mail-in rebate.
