How does AI make it?
I was scrubbing through the 'Ad Crashing' thread below, and a comment from torifile about revenue made me think...how the heck does AI stay online?
Sure, there's an ad at the top of the page, and the loose affiliation with MacNN surely has something to do with keeping this site up...but, given the amount of activity...it left me wondering how AI manages to stay up while not asking members for squat?
Heck, even Maury over at RailHead has a PayPal thingy, and even MacInTouch has set up a donation program lately. Of course, the pleading over at MOSR is almost whore-like...but, somebody has to cut the check every month...no?
So, it leaves me wondering if we are all blessed with an admin with a rich uncle...or whether you guys are taking it on the cuff for something you (and we) love. ?
Of course, if you asked, I'm sure more than a few people would pony up some operating expenses...and I'm sure you all know that as well. So, why not ask?
Hell, you could even start a subscription service...or an iSight PayForView type thingy. I'd lay down hard earned coin to see Murray opening and setting up his 'latest', or Jack at 4:00 in the morning dancing with squirrels, or even a live broadcast of applenut pitching in his latest game. "Too Low!!" "ANOTHER WALK!??" "Relief Pitcher!!!!!" . Heh. That would be great.
Anywho, I'm curious.

yes, all for the low price of $19.99
Um, i think this topic is one that is usually considered "don't ask, don't tell"
or something like that
Is this a taboo subject? Say so and I'll let it go.

I think the server must be powered by LoCash on his bike and it's somehow leeching some of Brad's insane bandwidth.
Anyone ever see that SportsCenter commercial on ESPN where the power in the building starts to flicker? Then the guy goes down to the basement, into a power room, and Lance Armstrong is getting off the bike and is like, "Oh, sorry Dave. I thought everyone had left for the night..." Then he gets back on, starts pedaling, and the lights come back on in the building.
Yeah, that's kind of how we run AI...

Maybe Maytag sponsors the AI team because they operate out of washing machine box with the Maytag logo on it.
Maybe, but I'm leaning towards murbot funding the AI cycling team (aka M3D) out of his eBay proceeds.

Is that where all that Mac erotica comes from?
