Ashcroft to be protested in Durham NC tomorrow...

I'm on the mailing list for the NC ACLU and received an e-mail that Ashcroft is supposed to be addressing police officers about the Patriot Act on Sep 6. The ACLU plans on begining their protest before the media arrival of 10:45AM. The event kicks off around noon.



I tried tossing the story to a couple of my Photo-Journ student buddies but they are unavoidably tied up. I myself would love to go and shoot but I also am tied up. If anyone from AI goes to protest, take pictures and post 'em.

    Another example of what I'm talking about, people are too apathetic. If you don't care enough to do something about how your govt does things, then you deserve to be screwed by your govt.
