My twelve inch powerbook has a small gap when closed between the spongy thing thats mounted to the screen, and the body.

Is there a way to correct that? (its not a big deal, but it would be great if I could fix it.

Just so you guys know I have a 1ghz powerbook and it is awsome. It is absolutely the best piece of machinery I have every used.

Its fast, durable, portable...its incredible

I am honestly never switching back to windows.

Buying a mac was the best descision I have made in quite a few years (sad really)

Thank you all for being here, without you guys my patients would have run out long ago and I would have gotten the older version of the PB.

dude you need to search out your problem before you post it... the "gap" was talked about in MANY other threads.

Glad to hear you are happy with your PowerBook! There is some discussion of this topic, and several others relating to PowerBook quality in this thread:

Quality control issues with new PowerBooks...particularly the 15"?

There was a gap-specific thread recently as well, but it was closed when it got waaay off topic. Check page 2 of the Current Hardware listings.

Have a look around and you'll find plenty of relevant reading material.
