recommendations for multifunction printer

I'm in the market for a multifunction printer. I've searched here and found this thread.



There seems to be many to choose from, but I'm not sure how the drivers are for OS X, or if there is anything better now, since it's been about 9 months since the last topic on this subject. So I thought I would ask here.



here's what I need:



1) supports OS X (of course)

2) fax (auto document feeder would be nice)

3) very good scanning/copying. Flatbed prefered. how's the scanning feature? as good as a stand alone?

4) good b&w printing speed and quality. don't really need color.



Or...should I just buy the components separately? I already have a Canon i950 for regular use and color photo printing. But I guess it would be nice to have an all in one. Or am I wrong in this regard? would like to have opinions on people who use all-in-ones and those who use separate devices. The good, the bad, the ugly. whatever.



I've been doing a lot of freelance work and lately I've found myself in the need of copying and faxing a lot of documents.
