Sony DRU-510A Internal DVD Burner Question

Our local Staples has the Sony DRU-510A DVD burner at a very attractive price plus a nice rebate. I realize that 8x burners are either out or soon will be, but the price of this 4x burner makes it attractive to install in my G4 dual 450.



My question, the box clearly says for Windows. However, I?m assuming that refers only to the supplied software and since it?s EIDE it will work fine in a Mac using Toast or iDVD. Is this a correct assumption?
