iPhoto's Library - duplicating everything!?

I was going through with Duplicate File Catcher in my Home folder making room for Panther and such when I came across duplicates in my iPhoto folder. It seems almost every picture in there has two copies, one in /blahblah/10/ and one in /blahblah/10/Originals, is this normal and can I get rid of one of these dupes? When you have as much photos as I do that's wasting a lot of space!

    i havent really checked into it, but i think one folder might just be aliases. dont bank on my word though... its just a tought.

    If you edit your photos, iPhoto retains a copy of both the original and modified versions. Don't know if this is your case though. If you want to delete the original but retain the modified version, iPhoto diet will take care of this. See versiontracker.



    One more thing - have you run any scripts or third-party software that messes with iPhoto?
