Safari Cache Issue

For some reason Safari keeps referring back to outdated pages.

Example: everytime i load a page at AI it is of a couple hours or days ago, not a refreshed version.

This is happening at every site now and is really annoying.

Any solution?

Clear your cache, IE will do that sometimes to(on the mac and the pc).

I dont even use cache, with broadband it is recommended you disable it

Hate to hijack the thread, but how do you disable cache on Safari 1.1.1 on 10.3.2? Thanks!

No...Empty Cache is, not disable. I'm still trying to figure out how to do it. Did you try the help thread? It may have something you can do in there.

There used to be a freeware utility--Safari Enhancer, I think--that let you set the cache to zero. I haven't looked for it in awhile, though, so not sure if it's still available.

To enable the debug menu you can go into the terminal and type

    Code:

    defaults write com.apple.Safari IncludeDebugMenu 1

In this menu you should have "Use Back/Forward Cache".

This was for Safari 1.0.1 under Jag, of you could also use Safari Enhancer as well. I believe this is Panther compatible.

Is this what you are after???

ps Terminal code is not mine, but obtained off net, though I enabled it over a year ago with no dramas. To remove I believe you change the 1 for a 0
