<strong>I know that the interest lies in the professional lines, but surely the iBook is overdue for a G4 ? it has usually lagged behind the iMac by a few months, but G3s are getting awfully long in the tooth, and OSX is altivec optimised. Any thoughts?</strong><hr></blockquote>
I'd just as soon see the PowerBook get upgraded to iBook plastics to be rid of the flimsy, flakey Titanium shell. This is the main reason I will probably spring for the iBook at the next rev. The idea of paying US$2600 on a PowerBook I will be afraid to look at funny for fear of marring it is just too much. The iBook by all accounts is a tank.
