Un-partitioning

I have a Power Mac G4 500 (Sawtooth model). The Power Mac G4 500 came with a 27 Gig Hard disk (not very big these days). I currently have my disk partitioned into three volumes. Is there any way to erase the first partition and add that space to the second partition?

Not without erasing the 2nd partition two. You'd need to re-partition the whole drive, everything would have to be erased.

I've seen it done once on a Linux system in the OS 8 days using pdisk, and there is a command-line tool for doing it, but be careful.

    1. backup

    2. try it

    3. when it fails, re-partition, re-install and re-store!
