Not really, considering Nonsuch was quoting a rumor site and both Elroy and I are quoting a retail site, you miserable twit of a moderator you.

Havent online stores done this before? I recall a site that had orders for the G4 PB about 6 months before it came out. Could just be some one that reads alot of rumor sites getting the website updated just in case. Now, Im not saying it isnt real, just that you shouldnt just go with rumors jsut to go with them, even if they do seem resonable. I personally wouldnt mind if the top end was duel 1.25, esp. if it has DDR.

That was more likely a typo, much in the same way that an advertisement in the back of the July '02 MacAddict offers the iBook featuring "up to 600MHz PowerPC G3 with Velocity Engine." Of course, as it's a MacMall ad, this sort of shit is to be expected.

Actually, im not sure if they had G3 and G4 powerbooks at the same time, the site was only up for a day or two. I also remember a crapy, spanish? i think, website that claimed 1ghz g5's when the DA's came out, but no one believed them, which was good

I still think its a good thing that they said it had DDR in all the new models, if it is true.

EDIT: I was looking at the site for a bit, and found something odd... they know the graphics card and pic of the old one that is on that site (the bottom one), but the only info about the new ones is what the rumor sites say.

you miserable twit of a moderator you.

Mr Disgruntled,

I was not addressing you; I was addressing Elroy and his post. Elroy's post quoted MacMinute. Nonsuch's post quoted MacMinute. Is MacMinute a rumor site? Not really. Is it a retail site? Not that I'm aware of. So, you are wrong on both counts that a) Nonsuch was quoting a rumor site and b) both Elroy and [you] are quoting a retail site.

    Get your facts straight, buddy.

Now, I suggest you shape up and keep personal insults OUTSIDE of the forums. You can use the private messaging system or e-mail if you have a problem or comment about a moderator. Otherwise, you may incur the hateful wrath of your neighborhood administrator Jonathan. Consider yourself warned.

    Sincerely,

    Brad, the evil moderator

    CONFIRMED!!!!!!!!!

    Dual 867GHz Tower Available!!!!!!

    Barto

PS No, I don't see how that could be a typo

I was kind of hoping for a 1.6 Ghz that would put us over the 3Ghz (combined) mark. If these specs are true, then the person who has the baddest Mhz speed and the best chip aren't in the same boat.

    shooooooooooot. but I'm awaiting verification.

    Brad...why?

I guess if you push the moderate button on the blender, it doesn't blend to much...but will however turn your precious ice cream into a thick milky like liquid.

Yeah, thats another thing. If you click on the listing, they have no information other then what rumor sites say (like i said in my edit). Why would they post the general specs, but not list anything else, no options, no other technical specs, which leads me to believe that they DONT know anything. If they did get something from apple, why would apple give them part of the specs and no detials? Why not just give them every thing they need, or nothing at all?

Agreed, business is business and that's not how business is conducted. Especially with Apple, all or none. ATI knows this.
