Heck, why not wait until WWDC? Are people really cringing this much for new Power Macs? If they can deliver good enough yields @ 3GHz AT WWDC (i.e., ready to order and arrive at people's homes shortly), then let them do it. Not to mention, if new PowerBooks appear therewith......

Now, they report that about 10000 mid and low end Power Macs for the next update are already being assembled, and in about 10 days Apple would be ready to introduce the new machines .

This is MacWorld, that we are talking about, not some fan site. Just because they are from Europe is no excuse. If this is a mistake then they need to kick someone out the door. If it is the truth, then the VT supercomputer is getting these.

croquer is more straight forward than mosr and feels like the old rumor component of macdoobidoobi, before they stopped printing rumors. eh bien, allons voir how their predictions pan out...

From MacOSRumors On the PowerMac update front: The outlook remains murky, but phone conversations between Toby Braun and some of our oldest Apple sources have turned up requisition orders for the new motherboards hinting at perhaps less delay than a month, but definitely more than two weeks. These figures are based on the delays we've historically seen between the first motherboard requisitions and public announcements over the past several years.

Any truth in this...? They also claimed new rev on jan 24th etc etc... Maybe they're trying to regain some credibility..?

My point was is that their grammar isn't like ours. They were talking about the type of chip not the speed of the chip. If they were in the US they probably could have been more clear. You just have to read over it 100 times before you get what they are saying.
