I have a VP who has an iBook G3 with a bad mobo. She HAS to stay in OS 9 for business reasons.
While it's at the shop (iBook is under warranty), I was hoping to pop her old iBook IDE drive into a new iBook G4 to tied her over until the G3 returns. I don't have a spare iBook G3 to loan out, but I have a iBook G4...
I don't know if you know this, but you can't just "pop" an iBook HD in and out. It's wicked tough and extremely time consuming. So even if a G4 iBook could boot into OS 9 you wouldn't want to try the drive swap, it's ugly.
Buisness reasons #1: dstranathan wanting to keep his job by not being the guy who have to tell a hard headed VP to get on the boat and leave a antique OS behind?

Har har. No. I work in book publishing. There are lots of reasons she wants to stay in 9. Some are realistic. Some are not. Too many to mention here unless we create a new topic in the proper forum. Here we go...

I'd LOVE to know what these reasons are.

Another vote for full disclosure of the "business reasons" requiring OS 9. Glasnost!
