Connecting to internet through microsoft proxy server

I was connected to my office's microsoft windows network with my G4 until the administrator started using proxies. I can still find the server and other computers but can't get online through the server. When I open an Explorer window I'm told... "Specified server cannot be found." Anyone have any advice? Thanks, Bob

    How are you assigned an ip ? manual/dhcp ? did the gateway address change ? Did he provide you with information on the proxy settings of his server ?
