Hitachi to buy Motorola PPC Business?

I keep looking for someone to comment on this rumor, but nobody is posting it. From MOSR:





"Interesting news coming from Japanese semiconductor industry newspaper. Hitachi is planning to purchase the PPC portions of Motorola's business."

    Hitachi is buying PPC from Motorola to team up with Nintendo for a home gateway video game consul which will take back market share from M$ and Sony???

    I wouldn't be surprised if it's true.



    The new Moto management has to stop the company from going bankrupt, and getting rid of loss making divisions is sometimes necessary.



    AIM fell apart with the G3. That's when it became IM. The G4 was AM.



    It seems now that IBM makes the l33t chips, in partnership with Sony, Nintendo, Samsung, Apple, everyone. It's different, there is no solid partnership, it's IBM working with everyone they can.
