Your biggest problem is you don't have a single clue as to how to list an item on ebay. I'm not trying to be mean or an ass but truly you don't. An item as popular as a cube should have been listed for $1.00 and let people bid accordingly to make the item "appear" to be in high demand or more appealing. Not to mention you'll pay less in listing fees. Your title for the listing is not elaborate enough and your item description is horrible as well. If you can you should take new pictures showing a picture with everything included and nothing else, one of just the cube, and if you have the original box make sure to take a picture of that as well. Just check out this as an example as I only paid $598.00 back in early '03...
Of coarse I embellished a bit but you have to as you wanna sell it for what you feel its worth. I never "lie" about anything like the item's condition or anything that will actually effect the buyer but inflating the price that I actually paid for the camera is no biggie.
Hell if I didn't just throw 3 grand into a 10D and extras I would buy your cube for $700.00 and relist it and make $100-$300 off of it.
Still illegally and unethically selling it with all of the software (that you undoubtedly have extra copies of you will be keeping for your other machine)?
Still illegally and unethically selling it with all of the software (that you undoubtedly have extra copies of you will be keeping for your other machine)?
The act of selling a machine with software is in no way illegal as long as the original software goes with it. The act of making copies for himself may be, but that's a separate issue. Don't be such an ass.
Starting at 4:45 today (April 23) and going until 4:45 on April 28th.
Starting off at $750.
PowerMac G4 Cube
?450 MHz G4 Processor
?20 GB Hard Drive
?Upgraded 32 MB Radeon Graphics Card
?192 MB of RAM
?Slot Load DVD-ROM
?Mac OS X 10.3.3
?Apple Pro Speakers With Grill Protectors
?Apple Pro Mouse
?Apple Pro Keyboard
?All original cables (Firewire, Modem etc)
?iLife '04
Mint condition G4 Cube with no crack lines that were an apparent problem with some models. It runs silently except for when the Radeon's fan kicks in.
The graphics card in the Cube was a BTO from the 16 MB card that was built in, it has really extended the useful life of this machine!
It is still a completely capable OS X machine, perfect for digital video and photography, email and word processing, as well as web design.
Honestly, I would pay $150 usd, but not on ebay, been burned there once too many times, i would buy it on ai, because everyone here seems honest, but ebay, well I get unocmfortable at 100$ on ebay and dont do over 200 as a general rule.
and many people dont like used computer purchases on ebay. mainly because they cant see it for themselves for quality asssurance.
I already have 2 bidders. You will start somewhere, seller feedback doesnt mean all that much anyway.
sorry, but it means everything. apple computers are, for whatever reason, i common item for fraud. brand new users with no feedback are not who you want to buy big items from.
this is held out in your sale price as well. someone with 200 positive feedback from items that were similar to what they're selling now, will get more money (by a lot) than someone with <10 feedback selling that same item.
sure, you might have seen cubes selling for $800, but i'd be surprised if you got that much. time will tell though.

Messiatosh, I hate to start a bidding war, but I'll offer you $20, Canadian, which is still good for 14-15 USD.

So are you illegally keeping copies of the software you are selling with it?

Did I say that? No.

Way to avoid the question.
ARE YOU KEEPING ONE OR MORE ILLEGAL COPIES OF ANY OF THE SOFTWARE THAT YOU ARE BUNDLING WITH THE CUBE AUCTION?
