Altering res for games on 17" PB

How do I alter the resolution on games like Medal of Honor and Jedi Outcast to play in widescreen resolution on my new 17" PB, I've looked for the answers on other forums, but can't seem to find it.

    Ah, resolution, I was worried there for a minute...

    if you want to play the games in a native widescreen, the game developers need to write it into the game itself.



    that or you can change the res. of the laptop before you start to play.
