How do you select a DV camcorder?

I am looking to buy a DV camcorder. Small is important, and it would be nice to take pictures with the same camera.

There are new camcorders with RW CD's. What's the scoop?

    Personally for consumer applications, I'd go panasonic I'm a fan of pasanoic myself but they also have a super small transformer type case as does sony. What you typically want is one with the biggest CCD and the smallest most stable comfortable casing. While I think panasonics are pretty sharp, sony and jvc have some good colors. I believe canon has one now too don't they? that was on the apple store? I mainly deal with pro AV but hopefully thats some help.
