Remember, they've built-in a plugin architecture that was used in the past to add journaling compatibility... I wonder if it would be fast and practical to use HFS+ though.
According to this guy, Dominic Giampaolo was giving the developer presentation on Spotlight, so I think that bodes well for a "real" metadata system with Spotlight.
I assume open and save dialogs will incporporate this too?

Dominic Giampaolo is staying close to the fs. That's great news. I think Tiger's metadata is just leading the way towards a new fs in 10.5. I would have loved to see DG's demo. Steve's wan't bad in its own right. DG probably gave a much more technical demo.
