keyboard recommendations for a writer
Hi everyone
I am just about finished killing my Apple Keyboard (the white keyed one, not the Pro) with a couple of books and sheaf of short stories, and am considering getting a new board to use for my next big writing project.
I like the standard Apple Keyboard that I already have for several reasons -
Smaller form factor
Sound it makes when typing
Multimedia keys
Short key throw
It's heavy and doesn't slide around the keyboard drawer when I'm writing
But it has some drawbacks that make me want to consider another board -
The key action falls off after heavy usage, the springiness of the keys was beaten out of it in just under three months.
It's not adjustable (Sometimes I like to type with a flat board for a little extra speed)
It doesn't have the longevity I thought it would have, hence this thread
So, are there any other writers out there who could recommend a third party board, or just recommend that I get another Apple keyboard?

If you like some clikety clack, get the Mathias tactilepro Keyboard http://www.halfkeyboard.com/tactilepro/index.php or the kensington mechanical keyboard http://www.kensington.com/html/2529.html , which is essentially the same.
That is what I would get. Unfortunatly, they don't make them with french canadian keys.

I probably should have mentioned that I killed an older design Apple Pro keyboard in under a year solely by writing, it was too mushy for fast typing in under six months. I wonder if the third party models based on the Apple Pro are any more robust than the originals?
Thanks for you suggestions.
