    Thank you, thank you, thank you.... My iMac is coming next week and if I hadn't read that article I would have been kicking it along the ground face down to move it from room to room.

    Apparently it's not quite as simplistic as it seems in that you're not supposed to pick it up by the stand (remember -- that was how you picked up the flat panel iMac G4).

    I thought I could only carry it to select locations pre-approved by Apple.

    Well, according to page seven of the license agreemet, you may only wish to carry it to pre-approved "Authorized Apple Locations".
