Having album art is a cool-enough reason to support images on the iPod.
Having music VIDEOS would also rock (iTunes, after all, has already been used for staging videos/previews).
Expanding the scope of the iPod to be a digital photo album, perhaps in response to competitive entries, has me fearful of market confusion. Right now, they own the "rocking-est, jamming-est music player you can be seen with."
