G4 desktop oversleeps

Hi,

I'm posting this for a friend, sorry I could not find this in archives.

My friend is running a G4/400/320RAM/ (No idea size of drive) running 9.22.

Her current projects keep her from going to X.

Sometimes her computer won't wake up from sleep even though the lights are on and the fan is running.

Has anyone experienced this?

Any clues?

Thanks,

Devorah

Oh no!!! It sounds like a virus, one called "average teenager", symtoms include lazyness and habitual oversleeping...

Really, it sounds like a power management issue, check out the power management options and play around with them...particularly any settings for the hard drive.

Or if she has a USB expansion card in any of her PCI slots, that can wreak havoc on Mac's sleep...

    That is a distinct possibility.

    Thank you.
