Hm, excited about QE2D...I guess so, but not like I'm excited about, say, the next Zelda game or whatever

Was just over at MacNN and some guy posted this link from a WWDC 2004 session.

There is some really interesting and mind blowing stuff in there, it will hopefully clear up some stuff regarding Quartz 2D Extreme.

session is also publically available. They've been on the

page for a while. It's a good place to check for stuff like this.

that "gm_sotu" was the same link as the "sotu" for a while, or least when i first tried to watch both. But now I have watched both, and wowwie wow wowwerson. That Quicktime Core Video thing was instense

Quite. This is looking to be a huge HUGE upgrade for video and image performance.
And it's finally official: QuickDraw is deprecated as of 10.4. No new enhancements, no new features, move to CoreGraphics ASAP.
