Just back from Big Nerd Ranch

As the title says, I just spent a week at Cocoa boot camp with Aaron Hillegass in Georgia. Wow, what a great time, and Objective C and Cocoa are MUCH clearer in my mind now. The class is held at a corporate retreat in the pine woods south of Atlanta, so there is nothing to do but code. We had an amazing group of funny, intelligent people. On top of everything else, I learned from others in the class about some of the history of NeXT, Bell labs, and more. Plus Aaron is an amazing teacher. If you can afford it, and want to start really understanding how Coca works, check it out.

(note, just a happy student, no other connections to the Big Nerd Ranch)

I really liked the book. I could imagine he would be a good teacher. He also has a second book for like $100 that goes deeper into the technical details of programming for OS X.

I would love to learn and be able to program Cocoa one day

One thing at a time for me at this stage though...
