Can't install Tiger??? Help me!
I have 10.2.8. I put in the Tiger DVD, and it comes up as "Mac OS X Upgrade DVD". Open that in a Finder window and click the "Install Mac OS X" icon. That restarts my computer, I click on "Agree" yadayada, then before anything happens, it tells me that I must have 10.3 on my computer to upgrade. Restart from my hard drive.
Click the "Optional Installs" package on the DVD from the Finder window. It says this software can not be installed on my computer.
What gives? I want to do a clean install of Tiger, but do I really have to have 10.3 first???

Sounds like your Tiger Upgrade DVD only upgrades from 10.3. Where'd you get it to begin with?
CompUSA. Bastards.
OK, thanks. Didn't realize there were different DVDs.
