No iMac yet ... Someone hold me.
Pre-message warning: Please do not read if you are averse to people whining about not receiving their iMacs. That's what I'm about to do.
How many people have received iMacs from catalog retailers? I've seen a couple recent references to iMacs showing up from MacMall, but reports are sketchy.
In particular, has anyone received one from MacConnection.com? That's where I ordered mine from ... I was a late orderer (Feb. 15), so I hardly have standing to complain too much to people who have been waiting much longer ... But it's an agonizing wait.
MacConnection tells me they expect a huge shipment on Friday, from which they expect to fill my order.
I'll believe it when I see it, since I keep hearing various reports like: (1) Apple has really made only three iMacs, and 84 million have been ordered; (2) the iMac is a cleverly disguised radioactive deathtrap that is part of Steve Jobs' nefarious plan to control the universe; or (3) the iMac's LCD screen is made of a super-rare compound that occurs naturally only on the undersides of Amazonian tree slugs, and they're running low.
