i doing a presentation about dual core processors for my Cisco Networking class tommorw (not sure what they have to do with each other but whatever) can you guys help me out and give me some info about the PowerPC dual(and quad) core and the intel. or at least point me in the right direction.

    Because networking at 10s or 100s of gigabits per second can be rather processor intensive?



    The G4 is used A LOT in networking products. Have a look around freescale's website.

    info about the G5. I don't see any info there about the dual-core version though. There's probably some info on the site somewhere if you look hard enough.



    Haven't linked to intel because PPC is much, much better in embedded applications such as networking.
