Read Receipt in Mail?

Hi all



I am still on 10.3.9. I am trying to send someone an email and I want to know when they open it or read it. I tried looking at all the menu options and I could not find anything that would permit me to do this. I tried Mail Help too and could not find anything related to it. Maybe I was searching for the wrong term or something. Could someone please tell me if it is possible to do this and if so, how?

    Hmm... interesting. Thanks JLL. Is it possible in the Tiger version of Mail or do I have to buy Entourage or something to be able to do that?

    No it's not possible in Tiger's mail either, and any sane person would turn it off if it was an option since you're just asking for tons of spam mails with it on.

    Thanks JLL. The reason I asked is that I need to send someone an email to cover my ass and I want to make sure that they cannot claim they never received it.
