Your top 5 (or so) apps you use and recommend
I thought we could use a thread like this, both to show what we use daily and for noobs to OS X to find some really cool apps without going through hoops.
I searched and could not find a similar topic. If there is one, I apologize. But even if there is, I'm of the opinion that apps have changed/new apps have come to light and that we should have an up-to-date thread with our most used apps.
Please post a list of 5 or so applications you use most and write a short description about what they do with a (optional) link.
I'll start.

What exactly does Quicksilver do??
Well honestly anything you want it to do. It is very good at launching apps but you can set it up to do lots of things.
For example:
I select text in Safari > Press F1 > Type "MT" (for Mail To)
The Type "JJ"(For James Johnson for example) and hit enter
it launches Mail for me and I can just press send or type some more stuff.
You can also move or copy items in the Finder very quickly.
There are tons a plug-ins available and it's very customizable

It's basically an application launcher. I trigger it with control+space, which brings up a little window. I type "Ma" and Mail.app is selected. It launches when I hit return.
It's also quite extensible, with plugins and whatnot to control other apps.
Really, really handy.

Has it been a while since you used QS?
