    They look terrific! <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laughing]" /> I'd buy the yellow one in a heartbeat.

(I don't think all the names necessarily jive with the colors, though...)

Definitely the black one for me. Now as for applying these colors...

isn't the exterior of the eMac aluminum? As such, you'l;l have to anodize it to keep shiny colors on. Paints like car paints are too much work for an average Joe.

    Nah, it's just plastic.

Actually, this would probably be quite feasible for Apple to do; there are only 2 or 3 parts involved. The G3 iMacs had close to a dozen colored bits. It would nicely set the eMac apart from all the non-edu only Macs as well.

Not that it'll happen, of course.; I'm just musing. Apple is probably taking every measure to keep costs down with the eMac, and it doesn't seem interested in colors nowadays...

Lets all start emailing Apple to get them to make a black eMac. It will hide dirt better than the white one also-considering kids will be using them thats important......................................... .

Dirt? Do you have a window office by the freeway or something?

Anyway, at least with black cars...they actually don't hide dirt very well.

Well, I an think of at least one institution that would be warm to the concept of orange eMacs.

Hell, they bought a ton of tangerines a while back. . .

Nit: Apple never colors the faces of its products. Color is always on the backs/sides, or on the periphery. Unfortunately, the eMac is monolithic design-wise, so it's hard to figure out where to go from color to white.

Some of those don't look too bad, but if I had to fill a room with 'em I'd go with the white.

I have no idea, I found it an older thread. I believe it is from a Yahoo news story.

    Sorry

    <a href="http://www.msnbc.com/news/745080.asp?cp1=1"; target="_blank">Apple woos schools with eMac</a> (MSNBC)

It's an AP photo; taken apparently in Sunnyvale, California.

Oh - and it's probably a bad idea to walk through elementary schools for no good reason...imagine the conversation: "Well, I was looking at this kid's picture on the internet, and..." <img src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" />

Oddly the yellow one looked best, while I don't mind the sleek black one either. How long did it take to do those pictures?

About 1 hour to make the selection, and I just had to add a new layer and fill the selection with some color...
