Does anyone know of a freeware plugin that will block ads in Safari? I love that feature in Camino, but I really prefer Safari.

I've found some shareware alternatives, but I am a really cheap student.

The only trouble is it doesn't remember the blocks after quitting, which is kinda dumb.

Yeah, Safariblock is veeerrrryyy beta. Attempting to import the filterset.G filters causes it to crash. I trashed it.

The trouble with CSS is it doesn't block the ads, it just doesn't display them. I found that the ads still used my CPU. Plus, I found that some CSS hacks block media based on its size and so it blocked some content I wanted.

I hate to say it, but if it's getting bad, then switch to Firefox and download the Adblock plugin for it.
